Become a Volunteer
The Foundation continues to grow each year thanks to the people’s generosity and the volunteer work done daily.
If you want to fight against the disease, commit yourself by giving your time to one of the following activities:
1. Prevention and information
We are recruiting survivors or nurses with good communication skills and an understanding of breast cancer to be able to speak in public at conferences given in schools, companies, or during various demonstrations.
Required qualities: to be able to listen, having taken a step back regarding the disease. Experience in a social field is preferred.
2. Organizations, events and administrative tasks
We also need volunteers to be in charge of kiosks, hand out leaflets, and help in other activities during our events.
Fundraising activities are huge undertakings which require the support of a large number of volunteers, whether it be for data entry, telephone solicitation, postal deliveries, or the promotion or selling of promotional objects.
During an event, we also need people to help us with the logistics: setting up and tearing down, reception and information on participants, verifying tickets, security control.
According to our needs, your expertise, your availability and desire, other tasks may be requested from you. Basic training can be given for some of the positions. By becoming a volunteer:
- you help others and feel useful
- you participate in the wellness of a community
- you will be fulfilled
- you will stand by people who have breast cancer
- you will have fun working in a team and sharing a common goal
