Hélène Bertrand

When I look back, I can honestly say that the disease gave me more than it took away.

I discovered that I was truly loved and supported by more people than I ever imagined. First by the love of my life, my husband and friend, José; then by my daughters, Marie-Sophie, Éliane and Camille; also by my long-time friend Marie-Andrée and many other friends; and by my dear mother, my father and my in-laws.

I want to live surrounded by love and I want those around me to feel happy, just as I feel happy when I’m with them.

My name is Hélène Bertrand and I am a breast cancer survivor.
