Tuesday, May 25 marked the spectacular conclusion of Osez le donner, the amazing solidarity initiative organized by 107.3 RockDétente for the Foundation’s benefit. Thanks to the generosity of listeners and Wonderbra, RockDétente raised $171,300 for the fight against breast cancer. Since Osez le donner was launched in 2008, $400,500 has been raised for the Foundation. An amazing effort! 

The amount raised was revealed live from the Place Ville-Marie esplanade, where Marina Orsini and Alain Dumas were hosting their show, La vraie vie. Wonderbra had pledged to donate $1 per bra collected between April 27 and May 21, 2010. RockDétente and Wonderbra officially presented the cheque to the Foundation, with RockDétente on-air personalities André Robitaille, Chantal Lacroix, Isabelle Lacasse, Sylvie Lauzon and Joël Legendre in attendance, along with public figures who are involved in this important cause that touches every woman and her loved ones. Listeners and passersby had the opportunity to see the gigantic collection of bras on display, and had the chance to participate in the toast courtesy of Elle rosé de France, proud partner of the Osez le donner initiative.

The live broadcast was followed by a gala concert at the Astral to mark the end of the campaign. Claude Dubois, William Deslauriers and Boom Desjardins performed in celebration, in music and words, the wonderful generosity of RockDétente’s listeners.

The Foundation thanks 107.3 RockDétente, Wonderbra and all the listeners who helped make this unique fundraiser a success!

All bras collected will be donated to Renaissance, a non-profit organization whose mission is to facilitate the social and occupational reintegration of people experiencing difficulty entering the workforce, while encouraging everyone to take concrete steps to protect the environment.
