William St-Hilaire’s Les femmes planètes tells the story of Marc De Grandmont, second in command at the country’s biggest multimedia company. At 52, Marc has withdrawn into himself, swearing off all pleasures, running as far as he can from his emotions by focusing relentlessly on his work, with the help of his secretary and his BlackBerry. But he eventually realizes that the absence of pain doesn’t equal happiness. He’s intrigued when strange interruptions start disturbing his meticulously planned routine. A long series of letters and surprise packages start showing up in Marc’s perfectly ordered life, unleashing a stream of memories, thoughts – and even emotions!

William St-Hilaire has decided to dedicate her new novel to the Quebec Breast Cancer Foundation, which will receive two dollars for each copy sold. To this day, more than $1,000 were donated. The Foundation thanks her for this generous gesture!
